Here's how it works. The screening tool asks questions about the people in your household. The screening tool then compares your answers with the various program rules. For each program, you will see if it looks like you or your family will qualify. You will also see the office to contact to actually apply. Answering all the questions correctly will help us to connect you with the right programs.

The rules for each program can be complicated, and this screening tool does not make the actual decision about your eligibility. We will show you why we think you might be eligible after you are finished answering all the questions. If you are interested in a program, you should apply. You must be living in Vermont in order to receive any services.

How to use the computer program

On each screen you will be asked to fill in information about you and your family. If you need help understanding the screen, click on the button labeled "Help" with the red question mark at the top of the screen. The help button looks like this: 

After you have filled in the information, click the button labeled "Next". This will save the information for you and take you to the next screen.

Please do not use your browser's "Back" button to move back and forth between screens unless the screen asks you to. If you need to change or look at any information that you filled in, there will be a button on the bottom of the screen for you to click so that you can go back. We only ask you to use the "Back" button to take another look at the information you gave us so we are sure we understand your answer. Remember that you can always click on the button labeled "Cancel" on the top right of your screen to start over.

Here is what the buttons look like:

	Every screen will have a button like this for you to go to the next screen. When you are done answering the questions, the button will be labeled "Finish".
	Every screen will have a button like this for you to go back and change or look at your answer(s).
	Every screen will have the cancel button, just in case you want to start over.

Do you need larger print?

There are several ways to make the print larger. One way is to change your browser settings. Click on "View" near the top of your browser, click "Text Size" and choose a size you are comfortable with.
